Classes and Personal Training will resume on Monday July 27th!!! However, there will be some slight changes to how we run things in order to maintain hygiene and social distancing as per government guidelines and to keep everybody safe.

  • Pre booking of your place in a class is MANDATORY. To do so please use the following steps:

    • Whatsapp Shabba (please avoid any other communication method) on 07956 340 540 to reserve your place for any given class. The message should state the time, day and title of the class you wish to attend along with your name and whether you are a monthly member or pay-as-you-go.

    • He will message you back to confirm your spot. If you do not receive a confirmation, DO NOT come to the gym.

    • If you are pay-as-you-go, then prepayment for the class is also mandatory using Paypal ( or bank transfer (account details available upon request)

    • Classes can only be booked a maximum of 72 hours before the class and a minumum of 3 hours before the class

    • Please book each class on a day-to-day basis. e.g. If you are booked in for Monday the 27th, you will need to re-bok for the following week also and each monday thereafter.

Please note: If you book a class and do not attend, then you will be given less priority for the next time you book.

  • Arrive a maximum of 5 mins before the class start time, in your training gear, ready to go. There will be no changing on site to avoid groups of people in the changing rooms.

  • Use your own training gear wherever possible and avoid sharing. Disinfectant wipes will be provided to wipe down equipment before and after use. Hand sanitizer will also be provided for regular hand cleaning.

  • For partner work, try and train with the same person as much as you can to avoid cross contamination.

  • For busier classes, these will run both upstairs and downstairs simultaneously to allow for social distancing and maximum use of the space.

  • Classes will run approximately 10 mins shorter than advertised on the timetable where it precedes another class. This is to avoid groups of people while the two classes cross over.

  • Bring your own towel to wipe yourself down and filled water bottle (no water refilling will be provided)

  • Follow the one way system through the gym and observe all relevant signage

  • If you feel unwell or are suffering from any Coronavirus symptoms, or have been around anybody who has, please stay at home and avoid the gym for at least two weeks after all symptoms have cleared. If you feel uncomfortable in groups of people, please stay at home and avoid the gym.

Shahab "Shabba" Uddin - Head Coach

Shahab has been training Muay Thai for over two decades and teaching for more than 10 years. He is described by his peers as one of the most technical practitioners of Muay Thai in the sport.

Shahab has spent time training in Thailand at the world renowned WMC camp. In the UK, he trained under Heavyweight European and UK Muay Thai and K1 champ, Christian Knowles at the Minotaur Gym.

Unfortunately, he is also a Southpaw :)

Mohamed Chabira
Elias "Juice Boy" Abreu

Elias is also a currently active MMA fighter who's already beaten some big names in his stand up K-1 and Muay Thai bouts. He's an all-round practitioner with a penchant for stand up fighting. His unorthadox style makes him a very tricky competitor and he's happy to teach all of the considerable skills that he's amassed to date.

Andrew "Manchild" Herrmann

Andrew is an active MMA fighter with several wins under his belt in Muay Thai, BJJ and MMA bouts. His attention to detail when it comes to technique makes him a great teacher and practitioner. Don't let his mild manner fool you; he's an animal underneath!!

Zak Chabira

Zak is a household name at our club. He started out six years ago in our kids classes. He's now not only teaching the kids classes; but is one of the UK's hottest Muay Thai and K-1 prospects, having already faced and beaten some of the best fighters on the circuit. Zak's fought all around the UK and Europe on top level shows and is still only at the start of his career as a professional fighter.

MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)

A full-contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground, from a variety of other combat sports and martial arts (although the striking is predominantly Muay Thai techniques which the grappling is a mixture of BJJ and wrestling).

BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu)

A martial art, combat sport, and a self defence system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique, taking the fight to the ground – most notably by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the other person. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition or self-defence.

Muay Thai

Also known as Thai Boxing. A martial art from Thailand which uses stand-up striking and clinching techniques. It makes prominent use of punches, kicks, elbow strikes, and knee strikes, using eight points of contact, in contrast to the hands and feet (four contact points) more often relied upon in other martial arts. Numerous techniques associated with Muay Thai can be found in MMA.

Strength and Conditioning

Our Tuff Tuesday Strength & Conditioning class puts you through a rigorous training session which will have you lifting kettlebells, doing high intensity interval cardio (HIIT), movement based strength work and more! All these stacked in a way that will have you fitter and stronger than ever before... No two classes are the same, so the training never gets repetitive and keeps your body guessing!

Saturday Circuit Training

This class does exactly what it says on the tin! A blast of HIIT circuit and Tabata based training. Bulgarian Bag swinging, resistance sprinting, box jumping, skipping, heavy bag lifting, battle rope smashing - fun, exciting and absolutely the best way to kick start your weekend!
